Happy, scared, thrilled, excited. I run out of adjectives trying to describe the range of emotions running through my body as I put the final touches to the publication of my book, I Asked the Blue Heron.
I Asked the Blue Heron was born as a tribute to my late friend Zoë Graves for her role in my diagnosis and recovery from a severe mental breakdown. As I wrote about our friendship, I also unfolded painful memories from my childhood. My scribbles became an exercise in self discovery and a form of healing.
Counting on the support of an encouraging community of friends and writers, I have written this story of resilience and courage and will proudly present it to you on Saturday Nov. 4, 2017. This is a self-published book.
I invite you all to join me in celebrating the release of my debut memoir, I Asked the Blue Heron, on Saturday November 4th, at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park, located at 25820 S Vermont, Harbor City, CA 90710, from 3 to 5 p.m. Look for the color blue to find the exact location.
Hope to see you there.
But if you can not attend, I Asked the Blue Heron, will be available for purchase on my website Lisbethcoiman.com
